How do you get started with upcycling?

The first thing is to start noticing the things you throw out – ask yourself if you in any way could use them for something else? Then start saving them.

I’m a great advocate of simple living, and don’t think we should hang on to things we don’t use – but I make an exception with materials I can use for upcycling. I store them in a dedicated box, in a closet.
